Method 1 – Edit the Hosts file (Windows)

There is a file named hosts saved by the Windows Operating system, which is responsible for storing the local machine IP along with the protocols from the TCP/IP models.

To fix the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT message, you are required to make some simple modifications to it.

Step 1: First of all, Press Windows + S key or press Windows + Q key combination to open the Windows search menu. Once the menu opens, search for Notepad on it.

Step 2: Right-click on the result of Notepad and click on the option of Run as Administrator.
