In the statement, he said that “the sheriff’s office is releasing all files related to our ongoing investigation.”
Photographs of the set’s ammunition and examination reports can also be found in those files.
Videos Show Baldwin, Director being Questioned
On October 21, 2021, Baldwin was aiming a gun at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins at a ranch outside of Santa Fe when it went off, killing Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. They had been in a tiny church when it was being set up for a scene to be filmed.
Baldwin makes a few hurried calls as he waits for a meeting with a law enforcement official in a police video captured later that day.

The gun should have been empty, according to Baldwin, for an unfilmed rehearsal.
“I slowly pull the gun out. I pivot, cock the gun, “Baldwin explains. “It goes off, bang. Hutchins falls to the ground. She collapses. Souza collapses while yelling.”
Souza described what happened after being treated for a gunshot wound and questioned by detectives in a hospital emergency room.
“A very loud bang, and then it felt like someone kicked me in the shoulder,” Souza recalled. He enquired as to her well-being knowing that Hutchins was also hurt.
Baldwin repeatedly claims in the video from October 21 that there were no previous issues of any kind involving firearms on the Rust set.

These claims are at odds with more recent findings by state occupational safety regulators, who last week fined the Rust film production company the maximum amount allowed by law, or roughly $137,000.
Rust Movie Productions was ordered to pay $136,793 by New Mexico’s Occupational Health and Safety Bureau, which also published a damning account of safety violations against accepted industry standards. This included testimony that production managers did little or nothing to address two set misfires before the fatal shooting.
The bureau also kept track of crew members’ unheeded gun safety complaints and claimed that weapons specialists were not permitted to decide on additional safety training. Rust Movie Productions has said it will contest the judgement and findings.
In a December interview with ABC News, Baldwin claimed that Hutchins had told him to point the gun at her when it accidentally went off on the set.
